Cheer Clinic

Two weeks ago, the cheerleaders at the high school did a fundraising cheer clinic for the elementary aged school kids.  Ali and Baylie wanted to go and this was Baylie's first time.  It was an all day thing where they learned a cheer and a dance. At the end of the day, the families came to watch the kids perform for them, the cheer and dance they learned.  I wasn't so sure if Baylie would get into it since she's a little on the quiet side - Here she is getting ready to perform

It was actually quite funny, she took charge of some of the girls around her, telling them where to stand and to 'move back' when it came time to actually perform -  this is during the cheer
This made me laugh - she was the smallest in her little group so she was the one to be on top of their little pyramid thing - she's trying to get up here, this was at the end of the dance they performed
This was as 'on top' as she got! I don't think the other 2 girls could quite get their legs into position for her to actually stand up straight, at least that is what it looks like to me.  I still laugh thinking about it! She does make a cute little cheer leader

Next was Ali's groups turn to perform - she did the past clinic the cheerleaders did and was excited to go again - here she is doing the cheer!
And again - her cute little belly coming out of the bottom of her shirt -
Getting into position for the pyramid- Ali was one of the anchor legs!

Ta-da!  (this is what Baylie was supposed to look like)

Both girls had a great time doing this cheer clinic and already have asked when the next one is.  Ali loves to tumble, do cart wheels, round offs etc.  she would love to be in gymnastics!  I think I might have a little cheer leader in her! Baylie doesn't do all the tricks around the house like Ali, but she does love to make up cheers, songs and maybe the tumbling and tricks will come, who knows!  I'm glad the school does fun things like this for the girls to go to and get their feet introduced to things they might like to get involved in! GO HILLCREST!!!
