Easter 2012

The Saturday before Easter, we picked the wrong egg hunt to attend.  It's usually held in the park but we got phone calls Friday night saying they were moving it to the middle school (it snowed) -I still figured it would be in the football field at the middle school, I was wrong!  They had it inside, in the class rooms! Here is the room where the 3-5 year olds were and all their parents! It was so crowded you couldn't even move - not all the kids could even get near the eggs there were so many kids (and parents). Once it was time to get the eggs, the kids in the back didn't get many since the kids in front and their parents gathered them up before they could move towards them - not very well thought out. Jace was scared to death and ended up hanging onto Kenna for dear life, and Baylie (yes she's 7) got 3 eggs.  Baylie wouldn't survive in the 6-9 year old group!
Later that afternoon, it was time to color our eggs - Jace was so looking forward to this, I think it was his favorite thing about Easter!

Easter morning, the kids were able to find their baskets.
They also noticed the Easter bunny left eggs all over our yard - so they ventured out into the cold to gather them up!

All ready for church - our Easter dresses are dresses we got while in Hawaii - Jace got a new tie

We had a wonderful Easter day!  We were able to reflect on the Savior and his sacrifice for each of us and His glorious resurrection - we are grateful to Him for all the blessings we have and for the knowledge of eternal families, that we will all be resurrected one day and return to live with Him.

  1. I was totally going to take my kids to the Easter Egg hunt at the park, but couldn't bring myself to doing it. I am so glad I didn't take them after seeing this post:) I love your family picture in your clothes from Hawaii. What a great idea! Everyone looks beautiful, and Jace of course looks very handsome:)

All we do is color ours and then my older boys are bored and off to wrestle! Brenner loved it tho, like Jace. And WOW, I LOVE your Hawaiian Easter dresses! What a fabulous idea!
