I remembered a few weeks ago that I never acknowledged Kenna for earning her Young Women's Medallion! She finished her projects and value experiences last October, so this post is just a tad late! The medallion has changed since Lindsay earned hers, they added a 'ruby' and a beehive at the bottom of it.
Some of her projects included a quilt (which took over a year to get her to finish), she made (and wore) a modest skirt, volunteered at the Ammon pool helping with swimming lessons, read the Book of Mormon and kept a journal on it..... these are just a few of the projects she did, not to mention 7 value experiences in each of the values. It's a lot of work to accomplish this and we are happy that she realizes the value of hard work and the importance of getting her YW Medallion! I'm sure there were several moments of nagging and tears shed for both her and myself - but it was worth it! Way to go Kenna!! Now, only 3 girls to go - I (we) can do this
Yay! That's very exciting. She is a gorgeous Young Woman. And wow, 2 down 3 to go! So fun to have so many girls! By the time you get to #5 and can do the YW values in your sleep, you get to learn all about Scouts! :)
