Lindsay and Kenna's SKYDIVING adventure!

Yesterday, we were able to go to Caldwell for Lindsay to use her skydiving certificate Grandma and Grandpa Root gave her for graduation.  A few days before, Kenna decided she would like to go with her.

Here they are signing their lives away!

We sat around waiting for about 20 minutes for the plane to get high enough for them to jump - they jumped from 13,000 feet!

Thanks grandma and grandpa for an amazing opportunity!  Both girls loved it and said they would most definitely go again!  I was glad Kenna decided to go with Lindsay, it just makes it more fun to have someone with you! She kept saying she didn't think she would be able to jump out of a plane but now she is really happy she did!  Another thing they've checked off their bucket lists!

Ali has been asking to do gymnastics for a long time.  I finally relented at the beginning of July, she goes every Monday for an hour.  Everything she knows about gymnastics, she has taught herself and is really quite a natural at the sport.

off the spring board onto the mat - this is a beginning class so they use the mats instead of the actual vault to learn form and so they won't break their necks until they have the flips and things down!

Ali has been having such a great time in this gymnastics class - I guess I should have started her sooner - after only 2 classes, they wanted to move her to the level 2 class.  She is very proud of herself over this and likes to tell people that she is ready to move up after only 2 classes - the teacher tells the other girls to "watch Ali, so you can see how it is supposed to be done" that makes her happy too!  She is still learning the names of the 'tricks' so I have kept her in the level 1 class so she can get the terminology down - when school starts, I will let them move her to level 2.  Since we've been watching gymnastics during the Olympics, she says she wants to get that good! 

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream

I remember being so excited as a little girl whenever the Ice Cream truck would come around.  My kids get giddy whenever we hear the music of the truck.   My kids wait on the porch with their money,  I swear we can hear it for 15 minutes before it ever comes into the neighborhood!

Four happy kids!  Baylie's push up was all over this shirt by the time she was finished - I'm hoping tide stain release works well on red ice cream!

I think Emily gets stuck paying for the ice cream every time the ice cream truck comes around - the other kids are too shy to pay - I've told her to make them give her their money and then pay for them but maybe they do it on purpose to save their money!  Good thing she is such a good sport about it!
