Bowling with Baylie (and Jace)

This morning we had the opportunity to go bowling with Baylie and the rest of the kids at her Pre-school. It was such a fun morning and they had a great time. Jace was a little timid at first and said he wasn't going to bowl but after a few minutes, he decided to give it a try.
Here are two of my cute kids in between turns. Here is Baylie getting her ball...
getting into position......

and away it rolls! She even bowled 1 spare!

Jace getting his ball.

Notice the ball hasn't made it all the way down the lane in this picture. Neither of them could roll it very hard and we waited a few minutes for the ball to get back, every time.
Here they are just hangin' out waiting....
Baylie and a group of her pre-school friends were super silly! There was a lot of hugging and dancing and playing on the floor while they were waiting for their turn to bowl.
Here's Baylie and Isabella (Izzi) giving each other hugs. They also took turns picking each other up!

Here they are dancing and playing ring a round the rosie (never a dull moment)!

Here Baylie is with Izzi, Bracken, Abbey and McKinley, it must've been after they "all fell down!"

Peace out! (I'm thinking she learned this pose from Kenna)

Jace and I had a great time with Baylie and her pre-school friends. I can't believe that her pre-school days are almost over, we have loved her teacher, Mrs. Grover. She has taught Baylie so much this past year and has always had really fun things planned for the kids. We are having quite a few field trips as the year comes to an end, last week we went to the movies, and next week we get to go do gymnastics! Thanks Mrs. Grover for such a fun day!

Puzzles

Once the bigger kids leave for school in the mornings, it's sometimes just hard to find things to do with Baylie and Jace. The while ago we were at the dollar store and found some cute puzzles. I had forgotten about them actually until Baylie got one out and wanted to put it together. Baylie put hers together without any help from me. Jace soon grabbed one and joined her, although his was a joint effort, with me. Here he goes...
Baylie reaching over to help Jace.

Puzzles complete! Way to go guys!

This was a quiet morning and I was glad we had these puzzles to keep them busy for a while. They put together a third later on. Baylie was great, once she figured out one, she just kept putting it together over and over again. They were excited to show big sisters when they got home from school!

Water Park FUN

This past weekend was the end of spring break. We took the opportunity to head north to Kellogg and the Silver Mountain Resort. It's a big ski resort that also has an indoor water park, and my kids LOVE water parks. It was a nice 6 hour drive but it was a scenic drive so it didn't seem too bad. Here is a view of the resort from the road Right in front is where the gondola's take skiers to the top of the mountain
Baylie and Jace sitting on the steps of the "warm springs." It's a big hot tube that's really just warm water. They do have regular 'hot' hot tubs too.

A view of part of the park, Emily is just heading up the stairs to go down another water slide.

A better view of the park.

This park has a flo rider, which Makenna, Lindsay, Chris and I all participated in. It was sooo much fun. Chris tried surfing as well as boogie boarding.
Here's Makenna.....

Now, I know this is a horrible picture of me. However, Kenna snapped it just as I was airborne going over the wave and onto the flo rider, so I just had to post it. Me and the girls were a little nervous about going but once I went, I couldn't believe how easy it actually was. We were seeing people wipe out and get thrust back to the top, none of that happened to any of us girls, I can't say the same for Chris : ) The water is running at 35 MPH.

Taking my turn

Lindsay

And, Chris

They have a little kid area too. It's for kids 42" and under. There are 2 little slides for them. Here are Baylie and Jace getting ready to 'race' down.

Kenna and Lindsay coming out of two of the water slides. They had a great time racing each other down as well.

Everyone had a great time in the lazy river as well. Once Baylie and Jace figured out that with life vests on, they could "swim" on their own, it was hard to get them out. Here is Lindsay, Kenna and Emily. Chris is behind them with Jace and Baylie, not looking.

Obstacle course. All the kids had a great time trying to get across without falling in. Emily got to the point where she didn't have to hold on above, and could run across! This is Emily, Ali and Kenna waiting to join them.

Baylie and Jace, in the 'spray' area.

Baylie and Jace taking time out to pose for a picture. They're so cute!

Me and Baylie behind the waterfall in the "warm springs."

There was one of the tube rides which was a 'family' tube ride, meaning 4 people could go on at a time. This was a favorite of all of ours. Emily was leery about it at first and it wasn't until day 2 in the park that she would actually go on it with us. Emily loved it, even Baylie and Jace loved it!
Here are 4 of my girls, Kenna, Emily, Lindsay and Ali coming off.

The whole gang standing in front of the 'moose sluice' family raft ride sign.

This was such a fantastic weekend getaway with the family. We all had a great time and the water park was even better than we had imagined. There are a total of 5 big slides, 2 little ones, a lazy river, a BB hoop pool, obstacle course, flo rider, spray area, 2 hot tubs and 1 "warm springs." It was nice to get away from the cold and snow and spend time together swimming in the 82 degree water park!! We're already looking forward to going with cousins!!

Easter dresses a week early

I had started buying Easter dresses a few months ago, before I realized that Easter was going to fall on Conference weekend. I had only 3 purchased when I realized it and thought, great I don't have to buy the other 3. Anyway, that was my plan until Makenna was at the mall with me and found a cute skirt that she wanted and one for Lindsay. I thought, well, then they can just all wear their new "Easter" dresses the week before. Here we are trying to get a few pictures, it was cold and windy even though the sun was shining. Jace never did get a new Sunday outfit. But, when I got 3 of the girls their dresses, I also got him a polo and a pair of shorts. That morning when he realized the girls were wearing their Easter dresses, he asked if he could wear his too. I told him he didn't have an Easter dress or any dress for that matter. He informed me very matter of factly, that he did to. He came in wearing his polo shirt and shorts. I told him it was too cold for the shorts but if he would put his cream colored vest over the polo, that would be fine. Needless to say, the vest was out of the question. He's dang cute anyway : )
Baylie (notice, everyone is squinting, as the sun was so bright. Too bad it didn't make things warm)

Me and Chris (no, we didn't get new outfits, just haven't had our picture taken together in awhile, and the kids love taking pictures, so we posed.)

We had to move the pictures inside to stay out of the sun and wind. The kids cooperated much better and it went way faster!

Happy Easter everyone, a week early : ) (even though I posted it after)

Baylie turns 5

On the 25th of March was Baylie's 5th birthday!! She is normally a late sleeper, except on days when I have to get her up for pre-school, but by 7:30, my birthday girl came bounding up the stairs! She was so excited for her birthday this year. She wanted a waffle for breakfast and I was happy to oblige. We put a candle in it and sang to her for the first time that morning. After she ate, she wanted her toes painted and again, birthday girls get their way. She was insistent about wearing flip flops to pre-school to show off her toes, even though it was a bit cold.
It was so hard for her to wait until everyone got home from school and dad got home from work to have the real celebration start. She chose to go to chuck-a-rama for her birthday dinner. She didn't remember the name of the restaurant, she just told me the place where she can get as many 'slushies' as she wanted. Here she is with a birthday brownie the waitress brought for her. They even sang to her! (funny thing, she didn't want to go to Red Robin, like Emily because they would sing to her)

After dinner we came home to unwrap her presents and eat cake! Baylie saw her gifts sitting on the piano bench all day and was such a good sport about waiting until after dinner!

Unwrapping.......

I just had to put this picture of Jace in here. He was so excited every time Baylie would open a gift. He would clap and laugh, it was so cute! You would think it was his birthday!! He did take it upon himself to 'hand' all the gifts to her, so maybe he just thought they were all from him?

A girl with my own taste! A cheesecake name desire ice cream cake from cold stone!! Although, we were all so full from dinner, we didn't eat the cake that night so we got to enjoy her birthday cake for the next few days : )

Baylie is getting to be such a big girl, seems like yesterday when we brought her home and now this fall, she'll be leaving me during the day for kindergarten! She is a sweet girl who loves to help me set the table and put the clothes in the washer and dryer!! We love having her in our home!! Happy Birthday, baby girl!! Love you

Nap Time

This is just too cute not to share! The other day, Jace sat down on the couch to watch a cartoon and a few minutes later, Bella jumped up next to him. After about 30 minutes, I looked over and Jace had leaned over onto her and fell asleep. I was glad I got up and snapped a few shots, because Bella didn't last much longer with him asleep on her.
