Ali at the Magic Kingdom

Ali had the opportunity to go to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL with my parents, cousin Kyton and Aunt Laura this past June.  Ali left with my parents on the last day of school and stayed with them in Caldwell for a week before flying to Orlando for another full week. This post is so late because I've been waiting for my mom to send pictures. Some of the pictures are a bit blurry because Lindsay was able to get them from the Disney photopass website and save them to our computer, I guess they don't want you to have a good quality picture unless you pay for it - the blurry ones are the ones they take at random spots throughout the parks.  These pictures are in no particular order but they were able to visit, Sea World, the Magic Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios - Ali loved every second of this trip!
Here they are at the entrance to the castle in the Magic Kingdom

Ali was lucky enough to get to hold tinker bell! Such a cute picture!

Here are Grandpa, Grandma, Kyton and Ali at Sea World

Mickey Mouse french toast for breakfast?  Definitely!

Standing in front of 'face everest' in the Animal Kingdom - this was Ali's favorite ride!

Stitch popped up out of the ground right in front of them!

Another blurry but cute Disney photo

Ali loves to ride the rides and here she is showing her disappointment to find she's too short for one of them!

A ride she's not too short for 'Tower of Terror,' it's a family favorite!

'A' is for Ali

What a fun opportunity to spend a week with Grandma, Grandpa, Kyton and Aunt Laura - this was a great trip for Ali and she still talks about all the fun she had. She loves rides and all the excitement found at Disney - our trip next week to Disneyland won't even compare!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for planning such a fun week - the little kids are already talking about where you will take them when it's their turn for a trip with you!

Ali VS the mechanical bull

On the 4th of July, we walked around the river after the parade and they had all sorts of booths set up, food, dessert, bounce houses, people's businesses and this mechanical bull!  My little Ali is a fearless little girl and will try anything!  She is so much fun and I was excited to see her take a ride on the mechanical bull.
Here she is when she first got on, all smiles

She was thrown off within the first 2 seconds.....

Back on the bull and a little disheveled, she's smiling again!

She did better her second go round and said that it was really fun!  No one else wanted to try it but we all had fun watching Ali - if we would have purchased the all you can ride wrist band, she would have been on this all afternoon and with her determination, she probably could have ridden a full 8 seconds!

The Green Goblins

The green goblins had a great season this year and it was always fun to go watch and cheer them on! Here is Jace at the pitchers mound waiting for the ball to come his way!

Yes, my son was a ball hog on the team - he would run and shove to get the ball - if I wasn't so proud, I would be way embarrassed!

Running with the ball to put it on the tee - YES, way to get that girl OUT!!

At bat

And he's off.....

Safe on first!

Safe into home base!

After the last game of the season, Coach Mike Andrus (yes, Tyler's dad) handed out medals - here is Jace getting his.

He was very pleased with his medal - Kenna was gone to Logan for EFY and I had to text a picture of him with his medal to her!

Jace has a great time playing t-ball and I'm happy that he likes it.  I enjoy going to watch him and socialize with the other moms!  Way to go Jace, you did an awesome job this season and I look forward to many more years of watching you play baseball!

Little fish

The month of June was such a busy month, we juggled swimming lessons with t-ball and several times Lindsay and Kenna were working at the same time as some of these events so we were juggling cars too as it doesn't help that they work at different subway stores!
We survived it all and it was a really fun month.  In the past I have been able to put the kids in a couple different sessions of swimming lessons but it looks like this was the only session we will have time for this summer.
Jace was in the 'ray' class this year and he passed with flying colors!

The last day of swimming lessons is always anticipated at our house, it's the day the kids get to jump off the diving board

Baylie was in the 'starfish' class this year - she was lucky enough to have 2 friends in the class with her, Tyler and Madeline -

Alison was in 'minnow' class and she get to move onto 'fish' next summer - it's an hour long compared to the 1/2 hour she is used to and it's in the deep end!  She is a GREAT little swimmer
She was lucky to have her good friend Emma in class with her - as a matter of fact, they were the only 2 in their class!

I love that my kids love to swim and are happy to be in swimming lessons.  I think swimming is a life skill and it just makes it easier when I don't have to fight them to get them in the water.  I remember sitting with Baylie (in the water) when she was just 3 in her class because she didn't want to be there, now she loves it!  They have all turned into such good little swimmers and are improving each time they get in the water.
